Spring provides a variety of pastel blooms in Ohio’s woodlands. Visitors are invited to join a family-friendly wildflower hike at Blackhand Gorge State Nature Preserve. Hosted by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Natural Areas and Preserves, the walk will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. until noon.
Discover the beauty of a northwestern Ohio forest in spring by joining a free wildflower walk on Saturday, April 26 beginning at 11 a.m. at Goll Woods State Nature Preserve in Fulton County. Sponsored by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Natural Areas and Preserves, this walk will focus on native wildflowers such as large flowered trillium (Ohio’s wildflower), bloodroot, columbine, marsh marigold and a host of other colorful wildflowers.
