The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Natural Areas and Preserves, invites the public to enjoy an afternoon of invigorating winter hiking along the new trail at Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 1 p.m.
Many of the preserve’s water and rock features are now visible from the trail and frequently form ice at this time of year, creating beautiful winter views for visitors. The moderate to difficult 4-mile hike will take hikers across the preserve’s valleys and ridges and will last about three hours.
Participants should meet at the preserve office, which is located at 7211 Bremen Road in Logan. Hikers should dress in layers for local weather conditions and wear sturdy shoes. After the hike, participants will be served hot chocolate.
