Family-friendly event features the warriors of the bug world

LOGAN, OH – Nothing brings out our inner child like catching insects on a summer day. Join the Ohio Department of Natural Resources at Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve on Saturday, July 25 at 10 a.m. to learn all about nature’s acrobatic warriors-- dragonflies.

Armed with nets, participants will help catch and learn to identify these colorful flying insects. Nets and guide books will be provided. Be sure to bring water, snacks for the kids, and the enthusiasm of a child to catch these amazing creatures.

The program will begin at the public trailhead, which is located at 7000 Beach Camp Road in Logan. Children of all ages are encouraged to attend, but please remember pets are not allowed in state nature preserves.

Boch Hollow is located about 8 miles north of Logan, take State Route 664 north. Turn right onto Beach Camp Rd. Continue about 1 mile, the parking area, marked with a large sign, is on your right. There is no access to facilities from the public trailhead.
