Ohio Wildflower Bloom Report from April 10, 2015

Over the past week, much of Ohio experienced steady rainfall and cool temperatures producing ideal conditions for an extended blooming period of early spring wildflowers. Central Ohio saw the opening of bloodroot, Dutchman’s breeches and rue-anemone. While very few blooms have appeared in northern Ohio, the leaves and stems of wildflowers have emerged and bloom season will finally arrive in the north next week.
