Ohio Wildflower Bloom Report for May 1, 2015: The 2015 spring wildflower season has proven to be one the most spectacular in recent memory with few frosts, plenty of rain and continuous mild temperatures. The weekend will once again be a wonderful time to explore the woods in search of color. There is an end in sight, however, with temperatures expected to reach 80 degrees and above next week. Peak season will soon come to a close.

Our state wildflower, the large white trillium, is blooming throughout Ohio’s forests. Now is the perfect time to venture into the woods in search of colorful displays of spring wildflowers.
