Ohio Wildflower Bloom Report - April 17, 2015

Spring has finally arrived across Ohio with spectacular displays of wildflowers touching almost every corner of the state. Conditions have reached peak bloom in southern Ohio and are near peak in central Ohio. Early blooms have finally opened across northern Ohio with more than a dozen species now flowering.

Ohio Wildflower Bloom Report - April 10, 2015

Over the past week, much of Ohio experienced steady rainfall and cool temperatures producing ideal conditions for an extended blooming period of early spring wildflowers. Central Ohio saw the opening of bloodroot, Dutchman’s breeches and rue-anemone. The leaves and stems of wildflowers have emerged and bloom season will finally arrive in the north next week.
