Last weekend snow fell over much of Ohio, hopefully, for the last time this spring. After the cold snap, beautiful sunny weather descended upon us during the work week, providing the jump start to our spring wildflower season that we’ve been waiting for. This weekend will be absolutely ideal to see a wide variety of spring blooms in our forests throughout Ohio.
While temperatures have been below normal during the first week of April, our spring wildflowers continue to bloom. Hasn’t our cold and wet spring felt like a continuation of our mild winter? Even so, our native woodland wildflowers are in now in bloom across the state, including northern Ohio.
